Research interests

I am mainly interested in the long-time behavior and stability problems in kinetic (Vlasov–Poisson, Vlasov–Riesz and Vlasov–Maxwell) and dispersive PDEs (NLS, Hartree).

I have worked on, or am interested in, the following topics.

  1. Long-time behavior of kinetic and dispersive equations, such as the Vlasov–Poisson, Vlasov–Riesz, NLS and Hartree equations and their coupling, especially (modified) scattering theory: whether solutions eventually behave like solutions of the free equation, and how this asymptotic picture has to be corrected for long-range interactions (Coulomb and Riesz) or in the presence of an external potential, such as a repulsive harmonic potential or a Coulomb potential.

  2. Linear and nonlinear stability of steady states of the Vlasov–Poisson system, including homogeneous equilibria (Landau damping) and inhomogeneous equilibria (BGK waves).

  3. Asymptotic stability in the presence of a boundary, for example the Vlasov–Poisson system in domains with a perfectly conducting wall.
